Jon Set for International Debut(January 26, 2015)
Jon Armstrong will start his first ever international event with Rally Liepaja in Latvia, where he will compete in the ERC Junior championship. Jon who was a front runner in the 2013 British Rally Championship, is keen to build his experience on international events and will drive a Peugeot 208 R2 run by Armstrong Motorsport.
The 20-year-old from Fermanagh, Northern Ireland has his sights set on a good finish in Latvia: " I think ERC Junior is the best championship for young drivers to prove themselves, If I can get a podium in Latvia it would be a great start to my season". He continued:" This will be a big task, I haven't any experience on snow at all and I know some of the other drivers have a lot of experience on this surface".
Jon will be partnered by new Co-Driver Noel O'Sullivan Jnr from Killarney in Ireland. " If me and Noel make good notes and find the right rhythm, I know we could have a good pace in the fast flowing roads of Latvia. My main aim is to get as many points in round one and see what we can do on the Circuit Of Ireland"
